‘Govt must take steps to fulfil their demands’
Srinagar, Sep 20: Condemning the use of force against Anganwadi workers, Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) president and former agriculture minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir on Wednesday termed the police action against them as ‘inhuman’.
Mir told KNS that the use of force against the protesting Anganwadi workers was ‘totally uncalled for’.
He said that instead of using force against the protesting workers, the government should fulfil the genuine demands of the Anganwadi workers. “The monthly honorarium of Anganwadi workers should be increased. The workers are performing their duties full time and are being paid meager amount. The government must take steps to increase the monthly honorarium of the workers,” he said. (KNS)
