Srinagar, Sept 4:!  Guns fell silent on the Line of Control (LoC) in Karnah sector in the frontier district of Kupwara where Indian troops retaliated after Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing, targeting forward posts during the intervening night of September 2 and 3.
There was no firing since yesterday and guns are silent on the LoC, official sources told UNI.
However, people are still in panic, fearing more shelling from Pakistani troops, who are violating ceasefire to allow trained militants to enter into Kashmir valley before the infiltrators are closed due to snowfall.
Pakistani troops resorted to indiscriminate firing when the people were busy celebrating Eid-ul-Azha yesterday in Karnah sector in the north Kashmir district of Kupwara .
Police said the areas affected by the Pak shelling included Amrodin, Chatkadi and Sadipora. UNI
