Hakeem Yaseen asks Centre to come up with clear road map on Kashmir issue
Seeks practical implementation of PM’s, HM’s commitments on Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 12: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Front (JKPDF) and MLA, Khansahib, Hakim Mohammad Yaseen has asked the Central leadership to come up with a clear road map on Kashmir issue.
He also sought practical shape to the announcement made by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as part of his Independence Day speech, from the ramparts of the 17th century Red Fort that problem of Kashmiris can be solved by “embracing” the people rather than resorting to abuse or bullets, .
Similarly the statement of Home Minister, Rajnath Sing, made at a press conference at Srinagar yesterday that the Central Government would not hurt sentiments of the people of Kashmir regarding Article 35-A and 370 also needs to be implemented in its real spirit to ward off prevailing mistrust and doubts in the minds of the people, Hakeem Yaseen said while speaking at the one day PDF workers Convention at Khansahib today.
He has cautioned that undermining sentiments of the people on Art. 35A would set the whole state on fire which shall be very difficult to douse latter.
He said commitments and promises made to the people of Kashmir needs practical shape on ground to win their trust and confidence as they have been always betrayed by un kept promises right from 1947. “What was the fate of the recommendations of the Working Groups, reports of Interlocutors and round table conferences on Kashmir which were organised with much pomp and show by the successive central leaderships,” Hakeem Yaseen pooh poohed.
He urged the Center to resume dialogue with all the stake holders including Hurriyat leaders to seek a permanent resolution of the Kashmir problem adding that two neighbouring countries of India and Pakistan should also come on a negotiating table to resolve all outstanding issues amicably. “Otherwise peace in sub- continent will be a distant dream,” Hakeem observed.
He said that the center should come up with a clear road map for a meaningful dialogue on Kashmir issue with the all stakeholders. While criticising NIA raids and arrest spree, Hakeem Yaseen said it would, in the long run, prove counterproductive to the proposed peace revival initiatives.
Hakeem Yaseen also demanded a comprehensive employment package for the youth of the state adding that due to locational disadvantage of the state, there are limited employment avenues for youth in the private sector. He said youth of the state are dejected to see their future as bleak and uncertain. “Development of the infrastructure is o. k but youth of the state are yearning for their assured livelihood, “Hakeem Yaseen pleaded.
Accusing the present dispensation of resorting to political vendetta and discrimination with district Budgam especially with the people of Khansahib constituency with regard to allotment of funds under Prime Ministers special Development Fund, Hakeem Yaseen said that the people are suffering even for want of basic amenities not to talk of availability funds for completion of the ongoing big projects in the district.
Several leaders including Gh. Nabi Kotroo and Gh. Qadir also addressed the Convention. (KNS)
