Minister for Education, J&K distributes the prizes among the winners of different competitions

 

 

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 20 : Three day long water sports festival Jashn-E-Dal and Shikara Race – 2017 organised by J&K Police concluded today at world famous Dal Lake, Srinagar. Syed Mohd. Altaf Bukhari, Minister for Education, J&K was the chief guest, who distributed the prizes among the winners of different competitions.

 

             Speaking on the occasion Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Minister for Education, J&K while complementing the J&K Police for organizing the competition said that such competitions showcase Kashmir and Kashmiriyat to the outside world. He said that such type of programmes cultivate positive vibes and energies in the youth. He said that the government will continue to provide more and more opportunities by way of organizing sports events to the youth.

 
            Earlier in his welcome address L Mohanti ADGP Armed said that about 900 players participated in different competitions in three day water sports festival which was inaugurated on 18.09.2017 and concluded today. He said that under Civic Action Programme (CAP) J&K Police has been organizing number of activities which include sports tournaments, distribution of computers, books, stationery etc. He said that this is the second major event on a large scale after the successful organization of “Run for Peace”.  He said that such event gives us new talents, players which will help in bringing more laurels to the State in future.

         

            Syed Aftabul Mujtaba, Inspector General of Police Armed and Chairman of the Organising Committee presented the vote of thanks.

 

            He thanked Chief Guest and different departments who provide assistance and help in organizing such a mega event.

 
            Later on the Chief Guest distributed prizes and trophies among the winners of different categories.

 

          Winners of different events:

 

          Suhail Ahmad Dar got first position in 50 mtr free style open swimming while Idrees Hussain second and Showket Ali third position in the event.

 

            Saif Ilahi got first position in 50 mtr free style swimming for school boys, while Yawar Abbas second and Ahsan Ali third position in the event.

 

            Dilawar Hussain got first position in 100 mtr free style open swimming, while Danish Bashir second and Yawar Abass third position in the event.

 
            Yawar Abbas got first position in 100 mtr free style swimming for school boys, while Imtiyaz Hussain second and Adil Hussain third position in the event.

 

            Mohd. Rafiq, Suhail Dar, Aijaz Darm Mohd. Arif shared first position in 4 x 50 mtr relay open swimming, while Ahsaan Ali, Adil Hussain, Idrees Hussain, Showket Ali shared second and Dilawar Ahmad, Zulfikar, Danish, Yawar shared third position in the event.

 

            Ansar Hussain, Adil Hussain, Sajid Hussain, Suhail Abass shared first position in 4 x 50 mtr relay free style swimming for school boys, while Danish Hussain, Adil Hussain, Asif Ali, Aqib Hussain shared second and Mukhtiyar, Yawar Abbass, Muneer, Showket Hussain shared third position in the event.

 

            Suhail Ali got first position in Kayak K-1, 200 mtr open for men, while Mudasir second and Wahid Hussain third position in the event.

 

            Ishfaq Ahmad, Suhail Ali got first position in Kayak K-2, 200 mtr open for men, while Fayaz Ahmad Shagoo, Nazir Ahmad second and Waseem, Ahsaan third position in the event.

 

            Asifa, Tabasum got first position in Kayak K-2, 200 mtr open for women, while Yasmeena, Shayista second and Maroofa, Afreena third position in the event.

 
            Waseem Hussain got first position in Kayak K-1, 500 mtr open for men, while Suhail Ali second and Wahid Hussain third position in the event.

 

            Ishfaq Ahmad, Suhail Ali got first position in Kayak K-2, 500 mtr open for men, while Waseem, Ahsaan second and Fayaz Ahmad, Niyaz third position in the event.

 
Asifa Shafi, Tabasum got first position in Kaya K-2, 500 mtrs open for women, while Adfar, Sakeena second and Shahista, Yasmeen third position in the event.

 

Mubashir Hussain got first position in Canoe C-1 500 mtrs open for men, while Waseem Raja second and Idrees Hussain third position in the event.

 
Mahek Peer got first position in Canoe C-1 500 mtrs open for women, while Asifa Shafi second, Tabasum third position in the event.

 

Mubashir Ahmad, Nisar Ali shared first position in Canoe C-2 500 mtrs open for men, while Idrees Ahmad, Showket second, Gulzar Ahmad, Shabir third position in the event.

 
Tabasum, Asifa shared first position in Canoe C-2 500 mtrs open for women, while Mehak Peer, Insha Bashir second, Mahida, Afreen third position in the event.

 

Waseem Raja Bhat got first position in Cano Polo for men, while Khalid Ahmad Khan second.

 
Waseem Raja Bhat got first position in Water Polo for men, while Fayaz Ahmad Shagoo second, Fayaz Ahmad Gagloo third position in the event.

 

Waseem Raja Bhat got first position in long distance swimming open men, while Ahsan Ali second, Suhail Dar third, Dilwar fourth and Yawar Abass fifth position in the event.

 
Mubashir Hussain got first position in dragon boat 200 mtr school boys, while Lateef Ahmad second, Suhail Abass third position in the event.

 

Waseem Raja Bhat got first position in dragon boat 200 mtr men, while Suhail Ahmad Dar second and Faya Ahmad Gagloo third position in the event.

 

Zahida got first position in dragon boat 200 mtr women, while Asifa Shafi second and Bisma Jan third position in the event.

 
Sakeena got first position in dragon boat 200 mtr for school girls, while Muskaan second and Nusrat Bano third position in the event.
