JRL to go ahead with their NIA protest programme

“We will proceed towards New Delhi at 3 pm’

Srinagar, Sep 08: The Joint Resistance Leadership will leave for New Delhi Saturday to court arrest before NIA Headquarters and to stage protest sit-in against NIA raids.
JRL in a statement issued to KNS said that Mirwaiz and Malik will reach Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani’s residence at Hyderpora first and then will proceed towards New Delhi at 1 pm. Their fight is scheduled at 3 pm Saturday from Srinagar Airport.
Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik had on Wednesday in a joint press conference announced to fly to New Delhi to protest NIA raids and court arrest before NIA headquarters.
Meanwhile, authorities on Thursday had told KNS that they will allow the separatists to proceed to New Delhi.
Earlier, today JKLF chairman Yasin Malik was released by the authorities from Central Jail where he was lodged yesterday. (KNS)
