Naeem Akhtar for regeneration, expansion of business, economic activity in JK
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 18: Minister for Works, Naeem Akhtar today urged the JK Business Inc to facilitate creation of a conducive and enabling environment to promote trade, commerce, entrepreneurship and investment in the State.
Interacting with a delegation of the newly elected office-bearers of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) who called on him here this morning, Akhtar said the priority of the new office bearers of KCCI, which is full of youth energy, should be regeneration and expansion of the businesses and economic activity in the state. “I urge the KCCI leadership to focus on positivity to tide over the trade depression and economic despair prevailing in Kashmir over the past some time,” he said and added that the steady decline in growth in various vital sectors of J&K’s economy is quite visible and disturbing and a concerted effort is needed at all the levels to regenerate livelihood and the economic activity.
