Forum also expresses concern over brutal killing of brave Journalist Gauri Lankesh in Bangalore
ISLAMABAD, Sep 13: Kashmir Journalists Forum expressed great concern over arrest of Freelancer Kashmiri photo journalist Kamran Yousaf in Indian held Kashmir and brutal killing of brave Journalist Gauri Lankesh in Bangalore.
These concerns have been expressed in Kashmir Journalists Forum’s session at their office secretariat in Rawalpindi.
The session was led by President KJF Abid Khurshid and office bearers of the organisation.
KJF has observation that a Photo Journalist Kamran Yousaf was arrested on fake allegations of stone pelting by Indian authorities which are beyond comprehension. Media Gag in Kashmir is not new phenomena but arresting a photo Journalist on allegations of violence is a big joke.
KJF asked Government of India for early release of Photo Journalist Kamran Yousaf and ensure freedom of press and Freedom of expression in Kashmir.
Journalists Organisations also expressed great concern over the brutal killing of brave and torch bearer of human rights activist Gauri Lankesh in India and urged to bring the culprits to the book. They paid rich tribute for her braveness and professionalism and remembered her great saying “intolerant voices finds strength in our silence”
