He has been awarded ‘Teacher of the year’

Kuwpara, Sep 06: Mohammad Iqbal Shah of Batpora-Langate of District Kupwara has been awarded Best Prize by Education Department.
Born and raised in a small village Batpora-Langate of District Kupwara, Shah started his career in Education Department as a Mathematics and Science teacher in early 90’s in Higher Secondary Handwara, after receiving Masters in Physics from University of Kashmir.
Patient and kind to his students, Shah has been teaching Physics with enthusiasm and zeal from the beginning, believing that teachers have power to make or break lives. He thinks that a great lesson can inspire a passion that lasts lifetime while lackluster teaching can kill learning.
Recipient of many prizes and instrumental in extending support in innovative programmes for the students of the valley, he has co-ordinated many INSPIRE internships in NIT Srinagar.
He has been at forefront in making alternate schooling/community classes functional during resilient times in valley. Peers, parents, staff and students are thankful to the Education Department for recognition of his teaching and social services. (KNS)
