Srinagar, September 01: APHC Chairman and president of Awami Action Committee Mirwaiz Umar Farooq while felicitating the entire Muslim Ummah, on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha prayed to Almighty that the day proves a harbinger of great success and peace and harmony.He prayed to Almighty for an end to the pain and agony of many in the muslim world.
Addressing the Friday congregation at the historic Jamia Masjid, Mirwaiz said that the sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), continue to enlighten the mankind about the message of true sacrifices, which will lead the mankind to the path of righteousness and honesty.
He said that Eid is an occasion of happiness and celebration, however, Eid of suppressed nations like Kashmir is when they see end to repression and oppression. Mirwaiz said today many Muslim nations are facing difficult times be it the people of Kashmir Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan or Yemen Muslims are faced with huge challenges and Mirwaiz urged countries like Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Iran to join hands and work together to end the sufferings and pain of Muslims suffering in many conflicts across the world.
Mirwaiz reiterated that the congregational Eid prayers will be offered at Eidgah in downtown at 9:30 am Mirwaiz will start his Eid sermon at 8:30 am onwards.
