IGP, GoC Victor force, CRPF IG address joint press conference

Srinagar, Sep 11: Following the surrender of a militant and an OGW, security forces in joint appeal asked the militants to surrender to join the mainstream.
Addressing a joint press conference, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Muneer Khan, GoC Victor Force Major General BS Raju, IG Operations CRPF Zulfikar Hassan said that they will embrace militants with open arms and rehabilitate them when they will surrender and shun the path of violence.
“It’s a clear message to others who have been lured into all this that if they come, we will receive them with open hearts,” IGP Munir Khan said.
As per police, a militant surrendered at Shopian while an Over Ground Worker at Khudwani in Kulgam during encounters.
Police said that Adil Hussain Dar surrendered during Shopian encounter, while Arif was asked to surrender during Kulgam operation.

CRPF Inspector General (IG) Z Hassan said that he wants to assure a safe future for the youth and make sure that they don’t fall into prey to those who are misguiding them.
“I want to assure every person in the Valley that your future would be safe if you decide to get away from whoever is misguiding you,” Hassan said.
Major B S Raja said the Victor forces have been following this process of convincing the militants to surrender and appealed the parents to restrict their children from joining militants. (KNS)
