Sopore shuts to mourn the killings of two Hizb militants

Sopore, Sep 05: The killing of two Hizb militants sparked spontaneous shutdown in different parts of Apple town Sopore here in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Two militants, Nayeem Ahmad of Brath Kalan Sopore and Ashiq Hussain of Andergam Pattan, were killed in a gunfight with government forces at Shangargund village of Sopore on Monday.

Eyewitnesses said that all the shops and business establishments remained shut in Sopore and adjacent areas of Baramulla while transport was also off the road.

Large contingent of government forces personnel had been deployed to maintain law and order in the restive parts of the district.
