MP was guest of honour

Kupwara, Sep 05: In connection with celebration of Teachers Day, an impressive function was organized by the Education Department at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Hirri (Trehgam) here today.
Member Parliament, Mir Fayaz was guest of honour while District Development Commissioner, Kupwara Khalid Jahangir participated as Chief Guest, SSP Kupwara, Principal, respectable, educationists, teaching fraternity ,and students besides parents were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest (DDC) highlighted the role of a Teacher towards the society through exposing the hidden talents of the student in various field of nation building.

Referring to the demands projected by the school authority the DDC announced that Rs. 30 lakhs are being provided for infrastructural development. In this connection Exn R&B was asked to completed the tendering process and carry out the works on the completion of the school building within 15 days, another Rs 10 lakhs would be spent on development of play ground and approach road to school would be macadamized besides the transportation would be arranged for the students at various destinations to school premises.
The Member Parliament, SSP Kupwara, educationists also delivered their lectures to mark the occasion. (KNS)
