Kashmir is beautiful but this beauty will be spoilt if we don’t keep it clean: Dir Tourism
Srinagar, Sep 26: In line with the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ mission, the department of tourism Kashmir led by its Director Mahmood A Shah Tuesday morning started another cleanliness drive at Tourist Reception Center in which all the employees participated.
Earlier, the department organized the drive at Gulmarg and Aharbal tourist resorts.
The department kick-started the drive in line with the nationwide ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ mission to ensure cleanliness at tourist destinations.
On the occasion, Director Tourism Kashmir said Kashmir is ecologically very fragile which needs to be taken care of so as to ensure that Valley is not only beautiful but clean also.
“Kashmir is beautiful but this beauty will be spoilt if we don’t keep it clean. It is our responsibility to keep our place clean,” said Mahmood Shah.
He directed all the officers to lead the cleanliness drives at all the tourist resorts.
He also urged people to participate in the mission.
“If we keep our surroundings clean, it will also help us preserve fragile environment and the beauty for the posterity,” said Shah.
Deputy Director Tourism Riyaz Beigh, SP Tourist Police Amarjit Singh and tourist police also participated in the drive. (KNS)
