Union Home Min assures help in Kamran Yousuf case

Srinagar, September 11: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today assured media fraternity of help in the case of photojournalist Kamran Yousuf who has been held by NIA over stone-pelting charges.

Reports said that journalists on the sidelines of Home Minister’s presser here in Srinagar took up the matter of Kamran and sought his help. The reports said that the Home Minister asked the MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh to look into the matter.

Meanwhile, the Valley journalists today once again staged a protest against the detention of Kamran. The journalists assembled at press colony here and held silent protest against Kamran’s detention. They were carrying placards which were inscribed with slogans like ‘Free Kamran Yousuf’. (GNS)
