‘Nothing objectionable was found at my house’
Srinagar, Sep 18: After conducting a raid at the house of Director Rural Development Ghazanfar Ali early Monday morning, the Vigilance Organisation in the afternoon gave clean chit to the top officer after finding nothing objectionable”.
Talking to KNS, Ali said the Vigilance didn’t find anything objectionable at his house and later gave him a clean chit before the magistrate. “Actually it is about the hoardings the Rural Development had erected in Kupwara district under our MNREGA program. Since the contract was given to a Central Government and they have their own charges along with VAT,” he said.
Clearing his position, Ghazanfar Ali said that he lived a simple life. “After 33 years in service, the sleuths of Vigilance didn’t find me living in a palace. They conducted the raid and later gave a clean chit,” he said. (KNS)
