Vigilance raids house of Director Rural Development Department
Filed a formal case vide number 26/2017 after Joint Surprise Check

Srinagar, Sep 18: State Vigilance Organization Monday raided the house of Director Rural Development Department Ghazanfar Ali in connection with the allegations that the said officer had issued a Supply Order without following the codal formalities in favour of a particular supplier for providing and fixing of hoardings for District Baramulla and Kupwara in North Kashmir.
According to a statement issued to KNS, the raid was conducted after the sleuths of Vigilance Organization obtained search warrant from Anti-Corruption Court Srinagar. Vigilance had already filed a formal case vide number 26/2017 on the outcome of a Joint Surprise Check conducted by the Vigilance.
The Joint Surprise Check conducted has established misappropriation on account of the accused public servant. It has also been established that the accused public servant has caused wrongful loss to the State exchequer to the tune of over Rs. 13 lakhs by hatching a criminal conspiracy along with the accused supplier.
