A Day after RSS Chief’s Special Status Remark:
BJP says will stick to Agenda of Alliance, won’t violate it

Srinagar, Oct 01: A day after the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat pitched for scrapping of JK’s special status, ruling BJP on Sunday reiterated that the party will respect the Agenda of Alliance it signed with the PDP ahead of the government formation in March 2015.
BJP’s state general secretary, Ashok Kaul told KNS over phone that the party in government will be governed by the Agenda of Alliance and it is not going undermine it. “We have already stated our position. We are not going to disrespect the Agenda of Alliance that we have signed with the PDP and formed the government,” Kaul said.
Guarded in his words, Kaul, when asked about scraping of Article 35-A, said that the matter is pending before the Supreme Court and at that the party would respect the final verdict as and when it is delivered. “You have to understand that the matter is before the Supreme Court, how we could react to it,” Kaul told KNS.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat Saturday had said that for the complete assimilation and integration of Jammu and Kashmir with rest of India, changes should be brought into the Article 370 and Article 35A. He was addressing RSS and BJP workers at party headquarters at Nagpur. (KNS)
