Srinagar, Oct 13: Continuing with the efforts toward keeping the region drug free, a Drug De-addiction seminar was conducted by the Army in coordination with the staff of Drug De-Addiction Centre Baramulla at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Baramulla on 11 Oct 2017.
According to Army spokesperson, it was yet another step towards educating students about the importance of a healthy body & mind and harmful effects of Drugs on the same. Over 150 students and staff attended the seminar. The counsellors from DDC educated the students about the vicious cycle of drugs, reasons of getting into it and most importantly identification of a person undergoing drug abuse to include professional counselling to overcome the addiction.
The students showed keen interest in the seminar as was evident from their queries. The seminar concluded with an interactive session with the students and vote of thanks to the counsellors for their whole hearted efforts towards making society free from drug abuse. (CNS)
