Army organizes Capacity Building Tour to Bengaluru

Srinagar, Oct 17: The Army organized a Capacity Building Tour for students hailing from district Budgam of South Kashmir to Army Public School, Bengaluru form 9 to 16 Oct 2017. The tour was flagged off by Brig S G Chavan in a colorful ceremony.
The Capacity Building Tour was aimed at increasing their awareness about the latest advancements in the field of science and technology, software industry, business management, hospitality and service industry. While providing them the exposure to the employment opportunities it also showcased the unity and diversity, rich heritage and economic progress made by the country.

It was a new experience for these students who travelled on a plane and enjoyed the train journey by Rajdhani Express for the first time. During the stay, the team visited several places including Army Public School, Rashtrya Military School, Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Chinnaswamy Stadium, Vidhan Saudha and many other places . The students also enjoyed a ride in metro train.

The Tour was flagged in by Maj Gen BS Raju, Victor Force Commander at Awantipora. The students were full of zeal and enthusiasm while sharing their experience. The students said that the tour has helped them to interact closely with the Army and make them understand and appreciate their role as responsible citizens. Their interaction with the students of Army Public School Bengaluru and Rashtriya Military School will help in bringing about significant awakening among them. (CNS)
