Instead of taking CBMs, Govt’s approach anti-people
Srinagar, Oct 15: Former minister and Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) President Ghulam Hassan Mir Sunday said there is a trust deficit between government and the people as the ruling party has created an atmosphere of insecurity across Kashmir following the increasing incidents of braid chopping.
Talking to KNS, Mir said the behaviour and actions of the government towards people over the incidents of braid chopping are very disturbing as “there is a feeling among common masses that the government is itself involved in such incidents”.
“Instead of taking any confidence-building measures with people, the role of govt in projecting the prevailing situation has created mistrust among people and the rulers,” he said.
He said there is a sense of insecurity among people, especially among the womenfolk. “Everywhere in the State, there is impatience among people because of these incidents. The atmosphere of insecurity is giving sleepless nights to the people,” he said. (KNS)
