Srinagar, Oct 26: Amid call for shutdown by the joint resistance leadership, the government has decided to impose restrictions within the jurisdiction of in seven police stations in parts of Srinagar even as railway announced to suspend its services in Kashmir Valley on Friday.
According to the district administration official, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar has ordered imposition of restrictions within the jurisdiction of police stations Nowhatta, MR Gunj, Khanyar, Raniwari, Safakadal, Maisuma and Khralkhud under section 144 CrPc as a precautionary measure to prevent any disturbance in law and order.
A railway official while talking to news agency GNS said that the decision to suspend the train services tomorrow was taken at a meeting on security reasons.
The JRL compromising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Yasin Malik have called for shutdown on October 27 against the landing of Indian troops on Jammu and Kashmir in 1947. (GNS)
