Pitch for addressing demands
Srinagar, Oct 23: A delegation of J&K Employees Joint Action Committee (3rd Front) met Chief Secretary SH Bharat Bushan Visas at Civil Secretariat Srinagar.
While discussing the demands of temporary workers, Government employees and Pensioners, Abdul Ahad Bandroo and Ghulam Rasool Geelani, senior employees leaders appealed the state Government to announce time frame for regularization policy for the all temporary workers including casual need base and seasonal labours immediately.
Bandroo and Geelani urged upon the chief secretary to remove pay anomalies of various cadres in different departments before 7th pay commission. The grades include 6500-10500, 5200-20200 and other grades.
Bandroo and Geelani stressed upon the chief secretary to issue necessary instructions for amendment in recruitment rules and holding of DPC meetings in the different departments.
EJAC leaders also stressed upon the chief secretary to release 2 1/2 day extra salary and risk allowances in favour of forest and irrigation departments.
Chief Secretary assured the delegation for early settlement of all pending demands. EJAC leaders thanked for the positive response of the chief secretary. (KNS)
