Families demand relief
Kulgam, Oct 07: Four families in Kachama village of Kuwpara were rendered homeless after their residential houses were burnt in fire while a cow also sustained burn injuries in Handi Mohalla village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
According to KNS correspondent, Zahoor Andrabi, four residential houses including a cowshed got damaged in the village.
The local sources informed that a cow who was in the cowshed also sustained burn injuries during the incident.
The Fire and Emergency Services reached the spot and doused the fire.
The houses belonging to Ali Muhammad Wani, Ghulam Hassan Wani, Sajad Ahmad Dar and Ghulam Rasool Bhat and a cowshed belonging to Maznoor Ahmad Wani were caught in fire and converted into ashes.
The fire victim families demanded government to provide relief to them.
Meanwhile, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Nazir Ahmad Laway also visited the victim families and urged the government to provide relief to the families at the earliest. (KNS)
