Husband-wife, their 2 children killed in Doda mishap

Doda, Oct 16: Four persons of a family were killed when a vehicle they were travelling rolled down a gorge in Doda district of Jammu region on Monday evening.
A police officer told news agency that an Alto car on Monday evening skidded off the road and fell into the deep gorge at Gath road near Satsang Ghar Kashore Doda.
“The car was on its way from Doda to Mohalla area when the driver of the vehicle lost control over it and it skidded off the road “, he said.
In the mishap, four persons, husband, wife and their two children, died on the spot and another children received injuries, the officer said.
The deceased were identified as Bashir Ahmed Shah , (44), son of Feroz Din Shah, Fatima Begum (37) sife Bashir Ahmed Shah, Zia Bashir (14) s/o Bashir Ahmed Shah and Shaika Bano d/o Bashir Ahmed Shah all residents of Shiva Asthan ,tehsil Mohalla Doda.
The injured was identified as Nelofar (19) D/o Bashir Ahmed Shah who was rescued from the spot and was shifted to district Hospital Doda where from she was referred to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment.
Meanwhile, Member Legislative Assembly Doda Shakti Raj Parihar have expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious life in accident and assured all possible help to the affected families. (GNS)
