JKPA protests against sitting MLAs
‘NIA must summon them’

Srinagar, Oct 03: The Jammu and Kashmir People Alliance (JKPA) headed by Muhammad Imran on Tuesday staged protest at Srinagar’s Press Enclave against the sitting MLA of mainstream parties, demanding National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) to probe them.
Carrying a banner and placards displaying the images of sitting MLAs and mainstream party leaders, the JKPA members chanted slogans against the legislators while assembling outside the Press Enclave here.
Imran while talking to KNS said that the NIA should summon the sitting MLAs of Kashmir to probe them. “At a time when the NIA has summoned a lot of people from Kashmir to check their involvement in alleged terror funding, the centrally probe agency should also summon the sitting MLAs here to probe them,” he said.
He also said that the MLAs have looted and befooled the people of Kashmir so far and their betrayal should also be probed. “The NIA and CBI should expose the sitting MLAs as to how they managed to make their property,” he said.
The JKPA also demanded that the harassment to the people of Kashmir should be stopped. (KNS)
