KAS aspirants demand rescheduling of Mains exam

Srinagar, Oct 22: The aspirants who have qualified the preliminary KAS examination today protested here demanding postponement of the Mains test scheduled from November 7.

Carrying placards the aspirants gathered at Press Enclave here and shouted slogans for rescheduling the Mains exams.

The aspirants said that they have got less time for preparation and also situation in Kashmir is uncertain following the braid chopping rumours and hysteria.

They also said that internet speed is slow due to disconnection of 4G service.

They appealed to the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and PSC to reschedule the examination at least till February.

The candidates demanded that they should be given enough time for preparation.

“This is not an academic exam, where the students are committed throughout the calendar year. Aspirants have many other commitments. If the exam is held on scheduled date, it will give advantage to those who study at coaching institutions in places like Delhi and Jammu,” they said. (KNS)
