MLA Noorabad lays foundation of Girls’ Hostel at DH Pora

KULGAM, OCTOBER 14: Member Legislative Assembly Noorabad, Abdual Majeed Padder, today laid foundation stone of 100-bedded Girls’ Hostel at DH Pora here.
The MLA was accompanied by Director RMSA, Tufail Matoo, Executive Engineer R&B (Kulgam), Tehsildar DH Pora among other district officers.
The 100-bedded Girls’ Hostel will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.10 crore and is projected to be completed within two years.
Briefing the MLA about the project, the concerned Executive Engineer R&B said the hostel will have all the boarding and lodging facilities besides dinning and recreation.
Pertinently, the hostel will offer accommodation to ST girl students of secondary classes from far flung areas of DH Pora sub-division.
Earlier, Abdul Majeed Padder inaugurated a medical camp, organized by the Health Department, at DK Marg, in which a large number of people were given free consultations.
Facilities like medical check-ups, consultations in gynecology, psychiatry, ophthalmic perdition and dermatology were offered to the public in the camp. Besides, USG, ECG, laboratory investigation and consumable drugs were also offered on the occasion.
Dy. Director Health, Dr. Showket Laloo, CMO and BMO DH Pora were also present on the occasion.
