Says he has been left to die
Srinagar, Oct 07: The family of the Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) chairman and a senior Hurriyat leader, Nayeem Khan who is lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar jail Saturday said that his health condition is deteriorating.
Hameedah Nayeem, the wife of Nayeem Khan told KNS that his husband has been ’seriously ill’ and is undergoing treatment at hospital.
She said that Khan has been suffering from various ailments and the jail authorities didn’t allow his brother to hand over medicines to him which he used to take regularly till he got the court order for the same. “By that time his condition had worsened,” Khan’s family said.
Hameedah also said that the senior Hurriyat leader is suffering from high fever and his blood count has gone down.
She also alleged that “the shifting of his husband to Tihar jail by the National Investigation Team (NIA) was aimed to kill him.”
Khan was arrested by NIA in the last week of August in connection with alleged money laundering case and has been since then lodged in Tihar Jail Delhi. (KNS)
