‘Choose Gandhi or Nathuram Godse’
Srinagar, Oct 02: Pradesh Congress Committee Chief, G A Mir Monday said people of J&K have to choose Mahatma Gandhi or his killer Nathuram Godse. He said J&K is passing through turbulent times and it is imperative on the people of Kashmir to revisit the political philosophy of Gandhi.
According to KNS, lambasting at PDP for its silence of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s remarks over the abrogation of Article 370, Mir said the silence of PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti speaks volumes about it. He said under Mehbooba Mufti, PDP has left the path of Mahatma Gandhi and have embraced the killers of Gandhi. “They have set platform for RSS and BJP in Kashmir and are now busy in propagating their ideologies,” he said.
Mir said the PDP is the same party for which it was created. “Mehbooba has sacrificed her conscience and pain of Kashmiris for the sake of power,” he said.
The PCC chief said development and roads are things that occur in every government but it is a shame for PDP that it has no come clear on its stand on Article 370 even at a time the Deputy CM of the state also spoke about its abrogation. “It is a shame for Mehbooba. Who has locked her mouth,” Mir said.
He also asked Congress workers to get ready for the agitation over the issue of Article 370.
Senior Congress leader Taj Mohiddin at the occasion said the abrogation of Article 370 would lead to a change in the demography of the state and will also question the accession of state with India. He said if RSS and BJP are talking about the abrogation of Article 370 in a broad-day light, what stops PDP to break the silence. (KNS)
