‘Admin fails to provide any proper relief’
Srinagar, Oct 10: Senior National Conference leader and MLA Kangan Mian Altaf Ahmed on Tuesday said that the government has failed to fulfill any of its promises made to the people living along the Line of Control particularly in Poonch and Rajouri areas that are worst hit of the border firing and shelling that has affected the people living in the twin districts.
According to the statement issued to KNS, Altaf said, “The government have failed to fulfill any of the promises made to the border firing affected people of Rajouri and Poonch, be it like construction of underground bunkers, Compensation to farmers, live stock owners, shifting of affected people to safer places by providing them land and any special arrangements of schooling for the affected children, the governments have done nothing for the affected people in last two years.”
He said that belying the claims of the Centre and well as the state government that necessary steps have been taken, “The administration has failed to provide any proper relief to the affected people as well, adding that the affected families whom lost their family members are still to get any compensation” the statement added.
Altaf demanded urged the government to take immediate steps and provide immediate relief and compensation to the affected people. (KNS)
