Says with limited resources, ‘mujahideen’ giving tough time to forces
Srinagar, Oct 14: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah has paid tribute to outfit’s commanders Abu Usama Waseem Shah and Naseer Ahmed Mir who were killed in a gunfight in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
A spokesperson of the outfit Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement issued to news agency GNS quoted Shah as saying that “Mujahideen are giving a tough time to Indian forces”.
“With limited resources, the struggle for freedom of Jammu Kashmir continues with its glory. The nation equally played (its) part alongside Mujahideen. We are proud to be blessed with such people who always stood by the freedom fighters through thick and thin.”
Dr Ghaznavi said quoted LeT chief as strongly condemning the “brutalities” of Indian forces upon innocent civilians and labelled such an act as terrorism. “Indian forces are involved in killings of civilians under the disguise of such shameful acts of terrorism while the US and Israel are backing their ill-fated agendas. Trump-Modi nexus and Islamophobic policies are a threat to the peace and stability of the world particularly the region.”
Mehmood Shah, according to spokesperson, warned the Minister for Social Welfare Sajad Gani Lone to abstain from “anti-freedom movement” activities. “Such an act is betrayal to the nation. Syeda Aasiya Andrabi is the cherished star of the freedom movement. Her family not only did put a stop to the barbarism of Indian forces but also rendered immense sacrifices. The nation is proud of this daughter. She truly is the heir of martyrs.” (GNS)
