Srinagar, Oct 27: Train service has been suspended again for security reasons in the Kashmir valley, where separatists had called for a general strike on October 27.
“We have suspended all train runs on Friday for security reasons following advisory received from police last night”, a senior railway official told UNI.
He said no train will run on Srinagar-Badgam in the central Kashmir to Baramulla in north Kashmir.
Similarly trains will not chug on Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region.
“We are acting on the advice of police whether to run the train service or not, he said adding during strike or encounters near railway tracks, we are suspending train service as a precautionary measure for the safety and security of passengers and railway property. UNI
