JKP organizes “Run For Unity” in all districts of the state
Srinagar, October 31: Run for unity and pledge taking ceremonies under the ‘Rashtria Ekta Divas’ were organized at all District headquarters of the state by Jammu and Kashmir police today.
Director General of Police, Dr. S.P Vaid flagged off the run at Gulshan Ground Jammu. While speaking on the flag off ceremony DGP said that every single citizen of the nation should come forward and work for the unity of the nation as the nation belongs to everyone.
In South Kashmir’s Anantnag District, the Run was flagged off from Pahalgam to Ganishpora, Ashmuqam and in Kulgam the run was flagged off by SP Kulga. In Awantipora, the run was flagged off by SSP Awantipora Shri. Mohammad Zaid which started from Kadlabal and culminated at Padgampora. In Pulwama the run was flagged off by SSP Pulwama Shri Mohammad Aslam which started from DPl Puwama and culminated at Tahab. In Shopian, the run started from main Shopian and ended at Padpawan and was flagged off by SP Shopian Shri Ram Ambarkar.
In Central Kashmir’s Srinagar District the Run was organized in District Police Lines which was flagged off by SSP Srinagar Shir Imtiaz Ismail Parray and in Ganderbal the run was flagged off by Addl. SP Ganderbal Shri Fayaz Hussain. In Budgam the run was flagged by SSP Budgam.
In North Kashmir’s Bandipora District, the run was flagged off by additional S.P Bandipora while in Handwara was flagged off by SSP Handwara Shri Ghulam Jeelani Wani.
The Run for unity and pledge taking ceremonies were also organized in Leh and Kargil where in a large number of youth and volunteers of various organizations participated.
In Jammu, the ceremonies under the ‘Rashtria Ekta Divas’ ceremonies were held in Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range flagged off by SSP Jammu, SSP Samba and SSP Kathua. In Udhampur-Reasi Range the run was flagged off by SSP Udhampur and SSP Reasi respectively while in Doda-Kishtiwar-Ramban Range and Rajouri-Poonch Range the race was flagged off by their respective SSsP.
Worth to mention here that youth in large numbers in all the district headquarters of the state participated in these programmes.
