Says Modi Govt determinant to solve issues
Srinagar, Oct 24: Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh Tuesday said it is the right time to start dialogue with all shades of stakeholders in Kashmir.
Welcoming the Union government’s initiative for appointing former Director of IB, Dineshwar Sharma as an interlocutor to start dialogue to understand legitimate aspirations of people in Jammu and Kashmir, Singh said barring few everyone in Kashmir has welcomed the initiative of central government.

“This is the time when this process should have been started. The person appointed for this task is widely acclaimed. He was active in North-East also,” he told media persons at a function here, as per KNS correspondent.
Singh said, “I shall suggest that it is a right opportunity for everyone. Last time the Hurriyat people refused to meet the parliamentary delegation. This is now the right time,” he said.
The Deputy CM said everyone who wants welfare of the people of J&K should come forward. “All shades of stakeholders should meet. This is even part of our Agenda of Alliance before we formed the government with PDP that we need to create an atmosphere for the sustained dialogue process,” he said.
He said the grievances if any are solved only when people talk. “The grievances are solved only when put forth on the table. There are no preconditions. Our leadership is determinant and can solve the issues,” he added. (KNS)
