Srinagar, Oct 02: Three minors were killed and eight other people injured India and Pakistan exchanged traded heavy fire and shelling in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
An official said that Pakistan army resorted to heavy shelling in Degwar, Banvat, Bagyal Dhara, Shahpur and Kirni sectors along the Line of Control (LoC) in the district. He said Indian army effectively retaliated.
The deceased were identified as Yasmeen Akhtar (15), Ashfaq Ahmad (6) and Tazeem Akhtar (17). The injured have been shifted to various hospitals for treatment. (KNS)
