Baramulla, Oct 2: Two policemen sustained splinter injuries in a grenade attack at Juhama area of Baramulla in north Kashmir on Monday evening.
A police officer told GNS that a joint team of Police and Army has established a Naka at Juhama, Baramulla for routine area domination.
“At about 1850 hours one motorcycle approached from opposite side and while seeing the Naka Party made an about turn”, the officer said.
While being challenged to stop one among the two militants riding the motor cycle hurled a grenade towards the Naka Party. Two policemen received minor injuries, the officer said.
“Both the injured have been hospitalized”.
Soon after the incident, the whole area has been cordoned off with the help of additional reinforcement to nab the militants, the officer said.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case and started further investigation in this regard, the officer added. (GNS)
