Budgam, Nov 29: Expressing serious concern over the reports of thrashing and injuring Kashmiris prisoners of Tihar jail, President Anjuman Shari Shian and senior Hurriyat leader Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi has said that the ghastly act has put the lives of all Kashmiri political prisoners.
He said that beating and injuring prisoners inside jails is a shameful act and needs not only condemnation but direct action from human rights groups.

He expressed deep concern over the miserable condition of Kashmiris lodged in Tihar jail and urged international human rights groups to take serious note of it.
“The woeful tale of miseries and tortures of Kashmiri prisoners in Tihar jail is a serious concern for us,” he said adding the jail authorities of Tihar jail are unnecessarily harassing and thrashing detainees on one pretext or the other.

Aga Hasan urged International Red Cross and Amnesty International to take note of the pathetic condition of political detainees especially in Tihar jail, Delhi.
Aga Syed Hasan expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of renowned religious scholar and leader of Behreen Ayatullah Shiekh Esa Qasim.

He said that Shiekh Esa Qasim is under continuous detention and there are apprehensions about his health condition. “If anything untoward will happen to him, it will have serious ramifications and all the responsibility lies on the shoulders of Behreen Government.,” he said and prayed for the recovery of Shiekh Esa Qasim.
