Keeping up with the competition, Airtel has launched a new plan for its prepaid users, wherein it offers 1GB of 3G/4G data per day at Rs 198. The offers comes with a validity of 28 days. However, it can’t be that simple, here is the fine print you need to know.
As of now, this plan is valid only for select customers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle. Also, the plan isn’t exactly officially listed by Airtel yet, but spotted by Telecom Talk. The offer was found listed under the ‘best offers for you’ section in My Airtel app.
Not to confuse this plan with the Rs 199 plan by Airtel, in which it offers 1GB of data and unlimited voice calls (local+STD) for some users and local+STD+roaming calls for some users. The Rs 199 plan also comes with 28 days validity.
Yesterday, Airtel also rolled out a new ‘Airtel Prepaid Promise‘ scheme, under which, Airtel made all its unlimited combo plans of Rs 199, Rs 349, Rs 448, Rs 549, and Rs 799 pan India, which means that these plans can now be availed by all Airtel prepaid customers across the country.
This week has been pertinent for Airtel, especially with Tata Teleservices customers beginning the transition to Airtel’s mobile network under an Intra Circle Roaming (ICR) arrangement. This was part of the merger that took place last month, where Airtel acquired Consumer Mobile Businesses (CMB) of Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) and Tata Teleservices Limited (TTML) in 19 circles across the country.
