DDC Shopian inspects progress of developmental works

SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 18: District Development Commissioner Shopian, Mohammad Aijaz today visited sites of various developmental works being executed in the district to take firsthand appraisal of their progress.

During the tour, the DDC visited District Hospital which is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 23.65 crore. He was accompanied by Executive Engineer R&B, Deputy General Manager JKPCC, and other senior officers of concerned Departments.

DGM JKPCC informed the DDC that finishing works on the 2nd floor and the truss work on the top floor is in progress. It was also given that, so far, Rs 14.50 crore has been released and expenditure to the extent of Rs 12.50 crore has been incurred.

The DDC instructed DGM JKPCC to accelerate the pace of works so that the hospital work is completed well on time and the people of Shopian avail better healthcare facility.

DDC also inspected ongoing construction of Rs 3.25 crore 100-bedded Gujjar &Bakerwal Hostel at SindooShirmal. He also inspected ongoing construction of Rs 69.76 lakh Khadi & Village Industrial Board office. He took a detailed inspection of the building and directed the concerned to make every possible effort to complete this building in a time-bound manner.
