Srinagar, Nov 2: Contractual workers engaged under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act will held a massive protest demonstration against government failure to frame job regularization policy on November 4 Saturday.
MGNREGA Employees Association president Jan Muhammad has appealed all the workers to assemble at Pratap Park Srinagar on Saturday to register the protest.
“MGNREGA workers working in Rural Development Department from categories POS, TAS, Account Assistants, MIS Operators and GRS’s since 2009 are requested to make the protest a successful one while in Jammu also employees are requested to register a protest,” Jan Muhammad told news agency CNS.
The workers appealed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Minister for Rural Development Department to fulfil their long pending demand as soon as possible. (CNS)
