JAMMU, NOV 30: Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi, today greeted people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).
In his message, the Minister said this holy day marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), whose life was an embodiment of love, equality and brotherhood.
He prayed that the holy day ushers peace, progress and development in the State. He said that for peace, harmony and brotherhood to prevail we all should follow the path of love and tolerance.
While reviewing the arrangements of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), to be observed on Friday, the Minister directed the concerned officials to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply, besides stressed on maintaining proper cleanliness in and around the shrines of Hazratbal, JenabSahab Soura, AsarShariefKailashpora, Kabamarg Anantnag, AhamSharief Bandipora, Pinjoora Shopian and MakhamaBeerwah.
He also directed SRTC to provide hassle free transport services to the devotees.
