Four injured in bear attack in Tujjar Sopore

Sopore, Nov 02: Four persons including three women were Thursday injured in a bear attack at Tujjar Shareef village in the outskirts of Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports said that a bear attacked three women and a man when they were grazing their cattle in the nearby forests at Tujjer Sherif area of Sopore.

The injured as per the witnesses were rushed to Sub District Hospital Sopore for treatment.

Doctors at Sub District Hospital Sopore identified the injured as Posha Begum, wife of Mohammad Ramzan Lone, Sakeena Begum, wife of Nayeem Ahmed Lone, Zahida Begum, wife of Mohammad Yousuf Lone and Mushtaq Ahmed Malik, son of Ghulam Mohammad, all residents of Tujjer Sherif.

They added that Zahida Begum has been referred to SMHS Srinagar for advanced treatment. (KNS)
