Srinagar, November 28: In a case of fratricide, a soldier of Border Security Force (BSF) was shot dead by his colleague in Bandipora district of north Kashmir last night after a scuffle.

A police official told news agency GNS that a BSF head constable identified as Chandarbhan of Kirmach village in Kurekshetra district of Haryana, had a scuffle with his sub-ordinate namely Chattar Singh of Kupwara district last night between 11:00-12:00 hours inside their headquarters at Madar area of the district.

Both entered into a serious argument and Chattar Singh pumped 8-9 bullets into the body of Chandarbhan, leaving him in pool of blood. Soon after their colleagues heard multiple gunshots, they rushed to the spot and found Chandarbhan in pool of blood. Although he was taken to the hospital but doctors declared him brought dead. The murder accused BSF constable has been handed over to police by BSF and a case has been registered under section 302 RPC.(GNS)
