Shifted to Central Jail
Srinagar, Nov 27: Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik was Monday detained to prevent him from leading protests in Srinagar, a spokesman sad.’
According to the statement issued to KNS, Spokesman said that a police party arrived at his Maisuma residence in Srinagar today morning and detained him.
“Malik was detained and shifted to Central Jail Srinagar,” said the spokesman.
Earlier, Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik had called for a protest shutdown today in solidarity with Kashmiri prisoners lodged in various jails in and outside the state.
While Geelani continues to remain under house arrest at his Hyderpora residence Mirwaiz was put under house detention yesterday. (KNS)
