Srinagar, Nov 2: Top militant commander Zeenat-ul-Islam today negated those media reports which suggested that he has taken over the command of Lashkar-e-Toiba in Kashmir and said that his association only lies with Hizbul Mujahideen.

In a 4:16 minutes duration video that has gone viral over social media sites and messaging applications, Zeenat-ul-Islam said that he has always been associated with Hizb and would continue same.

“I, Zeenat-ul-Islam alias Usama has come in front of you to negative those media reports which suggest that I am Chief Commander and Divisional Commander of Lashkar-e-Toiba.

“I was with Hizbul Mujahideen, I am with Hizbul Mujahideen and I will always be with the Hizbul Mujahideen,” the militant commander, who according to police is active in Shopian and Pulwama districts of south Kashmir, says in the video message.

He also denied his association with other militant outfits including Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, Jaish-e-Muhammad, Harkat-ul-Mujahideen and Al Badr Mujahideen.

Zeenat-ul-Islam, however, called members of Lashkar, Jaish and Al Badr as his brothers and said that “their mission and constitution is one” which according to him is “implementation of rules of Allah and Islam”.
