Assures full cooperation to construction workers
Banihal, Nov 06: Labourers and workers of different construction companies are up in arm against alleged non-adherence of Labour laws related final of payment to workers after retrenchment.
Labourers and workers of different construction companies engaged at Navyouga Engineering construction company hold peaceful rally and apprised the visiting Congress MLA Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani of their issues.
MLA Banihal met the workers workers who apprised Wani of their pending demand of giving final payment after completion of the project which include implementation of Labour laws and Minimum Wages act.
Addressing the workers, Vikar Rasool Wani said that the basic right of the Labour class to fight for their justified demands.
Vikar Rasool lamented that the workers working in this prestigious project are being paid even minimum wages, covered under social benefits like Employees Provident Fund Act, being paid their allowances for overtime and there is sufficient safety mechanism available to them, which was possible only after his limitless efforts for workers welfare.
He further said that he has fight a big war for providing justice to the actual sufferers of the project, and achieve the target of maximum employment to the locals
Speaking on the occasion MLA Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani assured the workers working in Navyouga Engineering Company that he will fight for providing justice related to the final payment to the workers so that trust deficit of workers community can be restored. (KNS)
