Police officer imposes fine on himself after hitting a parked car

Anantnag, Nov 29: In a first of its incident a police officer from Anantnag district has imposed a fine on himself for hitting a parked car, inside the premises of Janglat Mandi Hospital of the town.

According to reports DO Janglat Mandi, S I Masroor Ali, in the heat of the moment hit and damaged a parked car that belonged a doctor from Srinagar.

However, realizing the mistake, the police official imposed a fine on himself and left a note on the car intimating the doctor about the incident.

The doctor overwhelmed with the gesture has shared the story on social media.

“The behavior can only seen in Kashmir and the gesture has made me feel safe and secure in my land,” Dr Abid posted on social media. 

Masroor on the other hand says that he was only performing his duties of being a conscious citizen.

“We can make mistakes. Police men are not superhuman.But then to realize your mistake is what makes us responsible citizens and better humans,” Masroor said.
