Police registers case against unknown students for disrespecting Indian national anthem

Rajouri, Nov 23: A case has been registered against unidentified students studying at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University in Rajouri after they allegedly didn’t stand up while Indian national anthem was being played.

    Reports said during valedictory function of Silver Rolling Trophy wherein Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra was the chief guest, some of the students were found taking selfies in sitting mode and didn’t stand up at the time when national anthem was being played.

    A police official said that a case under Section 3 of Prevention of Insult to National Honour Act (PINHA) under FIR number 519/2017 has been registered. He however added that no one has been arrested so far and investigation has been taken up to identify the students.  (CNS)
