SSP Traffic city Tahir Saleem Khan told CNS that after taking cognizance, he has written a letter to Deputy Commissioner Srinagar asking him to remove the barricades immediately on Narsinghgar Balgarden link road.

“Under section 133 CrPc, people can’t block the roads. It is called public nuisance while Deputy Commissioner has the powers to remove those barricades. I have sent him a communiqué and hopefully these barricades will be removed,” he said adding after talking to people there they admitted that they have erected these barricades as it is a residential colony.

“Nobody has a right to block the road even if it is a residential colony,” SSP Traffic said.

Pertinently, number of barricades has been erected in the middle of the roads at Narshingh Balgarden while the irony is no department was ready to own the action. (CNS)
