Rajouri, Nov 1: J&K Pahari Joint Front today in order to build pressure on state & central government organized a signature campaign today near Govt Post Graduate College Rajouri which was attended by a large number of students including boys and girls beside several members belonging to Gujjar community. Speaking to media and people present during event, sayed shadab Chairman J&K Pahari Joint Front said that “This is the third successful phase of signature campaign for ST status after the successful events at Gujjar Mandi and Town Hall”
Tazeem Dar, youth leader appealed the state government to implement resolutions of Common Minimum Program that guarantees reservation to Pahari community.
Chairman J&K Pahari Joint Front Students Union Aquib Wani along with Abdul Rehman, President JKPJF, GDC, Rajouri, Shabab Malik, Irfan Malik, Intkhab Ahmed, Saqib Ali, Ibrar Ahmed, Zia Ul Haq, Ibrar Shah, Ayaz Khan, Aquib Mirza, Amir Mirza, Raja Mustafa Khan, Sharaz Mirza, and others thanked all students who actively participated in the event and made it successful.
Aquib Wani further added that “Pahari community is a marginalized community living in border areas and are real guardians of borders”.
Youth Activist Amir Khan along with Parwaz Akram, Haroon Lone, Arslan Malik, Mustafa Khan warned the government of mass agitation of Paharis across J&K if their genuine demand of reservation is not fulfilled.
They further said that they are ready to go to any extend for getting their demand fulfilled.
